You can have a short view of the Himalayas while landing in Nepal at the hours of daylight when the sky is clear. To observe these monstrous ranges in details you can easily get the domestic flights whose main intention is to give a close overview of the mountains to its visitors. There are basically 3 prominent ways of flying over mountains in Nepal. The first and foremost one is to take a domestic mountain flight to fly over the eastern ranges. This flight gives you a chance to closely observe all the highest mountains of Nepal like Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Choyu, Ama Dablam, Melungtse, Nuptse, Pumori, Gaurishankar, Sisha Pangma etc which lies in the Eastern plus Central part of the country. Along with that, the exotic glaciers and glacial lakes will act like an icing on the cake. The duration of this sort of flights is one hour and they generally take off from around 6:30 to 8:00 am in the morning as it is the best time to view the mountains. Every passenger is provided a window seat in such flights. The second option is for the ones who want to fly over the panoramic western ranges. For this, you need to head to Pokhara and take a microlight flight into the Annapurna Massif. The microlight is a typical two-seater tiny aircraft which carries only two persons- 1 pilot and 1 passenger. This microlight will take you close to the Annapurna ranges and along with that, you can also have a close visual encounter with the Machhapuchhre Mountain. The third type of mountain flight is the most exclusive one. In these types of flight, the visitor takes a charter helicopter to fly over the Everest range. The opportunity to take a short tour around Everest valley and landing there for the breakfast before finally returning back to Kathmandu is what makes this flight more exclusive.

The best time for going through this aerial mountain journey of Nepal is March to May (spring season) and September to November (autumn season), during these times the sky is crystal clear so your visual pathways will not be disturbed by the clouds. While the other advantage is that the weather is very pleasant in the absence of fog so there will be no delayed flights or any other technical chaotic situations.
